Is this a Verbascum ?

Galway, Ireland.

Mystery plant coming into flower now. habit a lot like a verbascum i.e. 2
vertical spurs with flowers facing sideways off. Flowers are small single
white or creamy, with maroon stamens and a pink edge to the back of the
petals. Basal rosette of primrose type leaves, with some small trianglular
leaves further up the flower spur. Does this sound familiar to anyone ? Not
a great beauty, but so late flowering I'd like to be able to identify it,
as the nerines and late anenomes are well done here now, and the only hardy
perennials in flower in the garden are a whirling butterfly gaura/gaudia,
and a kaffir lily, possibly Mrs Hegarty.
Can't find my mystery in ward-Lock encyclopedia or Reader's digest Creative
gardening, which are the best references I have to hand.
