I'm enjoying the thread on digitalis. I just started growing foxgloves last
summer from seed. I have your standard biennial "Foxy" variety (I've
forgotten the species name) and next summer will be my first real "crop" of
blooms. As a rule, I can't be bothered with biennials, but I'm making an
exception for foxgloves. I'd love to hear about perennial species,
particularily those that can withstand the cold of Zone 4/5. Any suggestions?
I'm taking note of the ones recommended above. How shade-tolerant are they?
How long do they live? Do they grow easily from seed? Can they be started in
an indoor nursery?
