that grow and come to flower in the winter through the snow and are gone
by snow melt? If so what are they?

Of course the snow can't be deeper than the plant. In some parts of the
world...I would assume it could be a Crocus? I know this is not a
perennial but its a thought. I do enjoy seeing other woody plants(tree,
shrubs) which provide color in the winter time. There is some type of
Cornus - red bark which is quite nice and several others which I don't
know their names. My mom is on this mailing list......Hey mom, what is
that tree with the purple berries in the winter? I think it starts with
a "C"
