Ah hah! You think I'm still working!
The Greenhouse closed for the season on Saturday (day before
yesterday). I've got my home phone on the entrance gate and on the
answering machine in case someone wants something, but I refuse to sit
around for 3 customers a week.
I will open again daily in early February when the baby plants start
coming in and need to be potted.
I heat the GH to 34 degrees for the winter, for 2 reasons, to protect
the tender things inside from outright freeze, and to keep the heating
costs down.
Now I have time to do the things I haven't done around the homefront in
the past 8 months. Paint the extra bedroom and move the computer into
it, reconcile the checkbook, bake for the holidays, decorate en masse,
and get some excercise....kinda boring, but the season has had lots of
excitement. I could use a little bit of boring.
