I guess one persons weed is someone else's flower.
(I am not saying you want to keep this plant)
some peoples choice's of garden plants run the boring direction of only plants
with double flowers or variegated plants.


Any way- I would not jump to a conclusion that it is a malvaceae (mallow) Most
Plants in the mallow family have some kinda showy flower. 

 Instead of giving you a direct answer try looking at the Rose family
Rosaceae.
