Re: Dear Santa

Dear Santa,
I am another newbie gardener and do not have some basic equipment that
would be nice like rubber shoes or boots. A perennial spade/shovel would
be a great tool to have. And, if money is no object, I would like a small
pool/water garden area with a fountain and sitting area.
BTW, I do have 'The Well-Tended Garden' and it is great for someone
new at this because it tells you how and when and what to prune. I am
going to get out that book and my calendar and make notes for next season.
I also got the paperback edition of Alan Armitage's 'Herbaceous Perennial
Plants' and I love it. It is pricey, but less so if you can order from
amazon.com and it has great advice, especially for the south.
