Hi there,
Amongst other things, I am the International Registrar for Geranium, which
means I am responsible for the correct naming and identification of
cultivars. I saw your message and the reference to G. sanguineum
'Alpenglow', a cultivar that I am trying to track down at present. As far
as I know, this plant originated in the US and has not been brought into
cultivation in Europe.
There are a number of things that I am trying to find out. Firstly, the
correct name: I have heard 'Alpenglow', 'Alpen(space)Glow' and 'Alpine
Glow'. I would like to find out who, when and where it originated and
whether and, if so, when the name and a description have been published.
If anyone on the list can help with any or all of this information, I would
be most obliged.
Best Regards,
David Victor
