Hello Susan,
I tried to grow Rodgersia from seed this year and failed miserably. I love
their crinkly textured leaves: they are brilliant foliage plants, liking
moist conditions so are perfect for bog gardens or stream edge. R.pinnata
'Superba' has bronzy leaves when young and pink flowers in mid-summer. The
flower heads form a conical shape, and the plant is about 4-5' high. Not
having grown it, that is all I can tell you, except that it is already on my
list for next year - I'm not trying seed again, I was too disappointed this
year.
