Susan,
There are several tall perennial Lobelias that do well in our wet climate.
Any of the Lobelia cardinalis or syphilitica species and their hybrids. I
like 'Queen Victoria', 'Dark Crusader', 'Tanya', 'Rose Beacon', 'Ruby
Slippers' and 'Sparkle Divine'. They put on a beautiful late summer into
fall show.

Well, the hitch for me would be that it does not like wet winters. I'm in
Oregon and wet winters are the understatement of the millenium!
Thanks Louise. It does open up a wonderful new world of plants when you
begin gardening, doesn't it? One will never learn it all and there is
ALWAYS more plants to try!
