Thermopsis caroliniana, I think. I grew it successfully for about 6 years
and this year it suddenly did not come up again. Not sure why. It's a nice
plant with a baptisia like yellow flower. Mine seemed to be more 3' than 2'.
And early summer/late spring bloom. It also formed a lot of seed pods, but
none every germinated. I'd buy it again if I saw it locally.
