According to Hortus III, the differences are as follows:
T. delavayi - "achenes flattened, long-stalked, 3/8 inches long"
T. dipterocarpum - "Achenes sessile, flattened, 2-winged" (no size
mentioned)
It also notes that T. delavayi is "Commonly cultivated under the name
of T. dipterocarpum, but that sp has slightly smaller flrs and
broader, shorter anthers."
Hope this helps.>>>
Thank you-this is very helpful information. I believe I have a hybrid
between the two- because the fruits, which are in this case called an Achene
has a short stem,
There are also faint indications of wings on the achenes too, but they are
not well developed.
Thank you again form the information.
