Hello!
Ah, yes......I'm into the fall clean up ...my back and aching bones remind
me every night! But, I get up and start over again the next day. What
therapy!! I'm cutting back almost everything but CAN'T cut the Japanese
anemones....they're making a beautiful show right now, ( foliage as well as
the blossoms), petunias and nasturtiums have just "come alive" it seems the
last couple of weeks. Cleome is pretty, like the first day of spring and
cosmos and coreopsis, mallow, digitallis (a rebloom), Eva Cullum phlox
looking gorgeous.......while frost and possible snow is predicted for the
North Carolina mountains this week-end.......go figure!! So, all these
lovelies will be gone in a few days. I still have to divide crocosmia that
is pretty gregarious but I love it; rudbeckias, phlox, peonies (3 new ones I
have to plant), campanula, liatris, shasta daisies, alchemilla
mollis,astilbe, etc...etc.
So......daylight is dawning and I must don my gloves and fetch my
shovel.......on to another happy day!
