Just to pipe up here, I have the same compost bin that Don has - my DH
made it for me years ago and I absolutely adore it. As Gene mentioned,
it's nice enough to have *out in the open* - ours is about 8 feet off
our patio in plain site.
It's very easy to make and has held up VERY well.
