that bulb could be Agapanthus, a pink form, as we recently had the same
discussion in our office with someone seeing something similar on holiday,
obviously this is a uk guess, but they have flat pea-like seed pods, rather
than the seed being held in an individual 'claw', but can be propagated from
seed may take 2/3 yrs to flower.
Heard Fergus Garrett talk at the Kent Groups HPS meeting on Sunday, he's Head
Gardener at Christopher Lloyds Great Dixter, excellent talk on extending the
season by using Bulbs, Annuals and Biennials, underplanting etc, very
interesting.
