Hi everybody,
A couple of mornings ago Rebecca Coles was on GMA talking about garden
trends/fads for 2003. According to her:
* Pastels are out and warm citrus colors (orange, yellow, tangerine, lime,
etc) are in
* Also black (I assume dark purple - foliage I hope) and hot colors are in.
* Garden art of all sorts (except plastic flamingos and gnomes) will be
bigger than ever. Especially heavy items made of stone - birdbaths,
statuary, etc.
* Water features will continue to be very popular. From glazed pottery jars
with a little pump and a couple of plants to large ponds.
* Americans spent $38 billion on their gardens this year - an all time
record.
* Gardening is the most popular leisure time activity in the USA.
Imagine that! We always knew we were doing the right thing didn't we?
