I grow LAs here and they don't really take much care however I will say that
I am in a much warmer zone. I do mulch them, they get fertilized in the
spring, but the main thing is they need LOTS of water before and during bloom time.
Later in summer they can tolerate drought like conditions. It's best to
divide the beardless iris in spring or fall rather than summer :}
Siberians...I do not know the rule for how big before dividing. I can tell
you tho that I hear they can be a tough job<G>.
