hard freeze

When I let the dogs out before seven, the temperature was 22 degrees.  I
don't know yet how much damage has been done to the Asian mustards in the
veggie garden, to the aconitums which had just begun to bloom or to Anemone
'Honorine Jobert', who was in full sail.
Climate in the mountains here has always been up and down, but the past few
years have seen late frosts and freezes in spring and early ones in fall
that are unparalleled in living memory.
