We are in a part of the Ohio valley too, down in SW Ohio, and here, in
a rural place where there are more wild oaks, cedars, yellow (or
tulip) poplars, redbuds and dogwoods than maple and tame dogwoods, the
color is impressive. Not sure what the difference is, but Bainbridge's
Fall Festival of Leaves this weekend will have just the color it needs
to make it a complete success.
