Russell & Janos,Thanks so much. I thought they looked familiar, but this isn't where I remember planting Geranium tuberosum. This bed is about 50 feet from where I planted them. But then, that was about 20 years ago. A "wild" gernaium popped up in this bed here and there over the years, but I just thought it was some sort of cross from other types in the area. Does G tuberosum naturalize that easily; does the seed spread on the wind? Amazing that I found them! Glad they didn't get chewed up in the tiller. (Then again, maybe I did plant some here and just forgot ;+) Thanks for your help.

I agree that it is a tuberous geranium -- I emailed the list to that effect but it didn't go through.Russell At 03:49 PM 10/2/2012, you wrote:I think it is Geranium tuberosum Janos, Hungary, Z5aRussell Stafford Odyssey Bulbs PO Box 382 South Lancaster, MA 01561 508-335-8106 www.odysseybulbs.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with themessage text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS
