Re: Lawn aerators/dethatchers
While everyone might not be Jerry Baker's best fan, we do use his yarden
tonic for dethatching. We use a mulcher blade on our lawn mower and if
there appears to be a thatch build up we bag the grass and use it as
compost.
When we first tried to establish the lawn we did both aerate and thatch
the lawn. One reason was to try to break up the clay and get some
topsoil and lime down into the soil.
