Hi Linda,
What color is your loosestrife? If it's white and curvy, it could be
gooseneck loosestrife (Lysimachia clethroides). If it's yellow and
blooms up and down main stem below the leaf nodes, it's probably
yellow loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata). Although both of these
are pretty aggressive in the garden, neither has shown the
environmental hazards associated with purple loosestrife (Lythrum
salicaria).
