Re: Star-of-Bethlehem

I have a field full of Star of Bethlehem and they are a nuisance in the
flwoer beds.  And they're tough as nails--I've seen a rooted bulb pitched
onto a concrete sidewalk go ahead and bloom.

We daffodil people have discussed this flower and one of the experts
maintains that most species and cultivars of ornithogalum harbor viruses that
can spread to other plants, bulbs in particular.  So it may not be a plant
you want to encourage.  I do admire the flower though.
