It is, however, EXTREMELY poisonous. One flower can send a child into
respiratory arrest and only if the child is put on a ventilator will
s/he survive. The flowers are bright yellow and *very* fragrant, almost
like honeysuckle on speed, so they may be attractive to a child. There
have been several deaths or near-deaths with this plant. Use with
caution as you would digitalis, oleander, or any other extremely toxic
plant.
I must mention this because oaks are poisonous, all members of the
Prunus family are poisonous... but in larger amounts or in less
attractive form (eg Iris rhizomes...)...
