I think someone once told me that the whole tulip question depends more on
what kind of tulips you plant. The closer to the species the more likely
they'll hang around and bloom again. The more cultivated they are, the more
likely they'll be one-season wonders. As you probably know, the professional
gardens with the wonderful tulip displays plant new bulbs every year.
