Re: Good daffodils

The number indicates the division (there are 12 distinct categories of
daffodils with a new one coming in 98). The letter (or sometimes letters) to
the left of the hyphen indicate the color of the perianth segments (petals)
and the letter(s) to the right the color of the cup or trumpet. When there
is more than one color the area is divided into three zones with a color code
for each. So a 2W-WWP would be a division 2 (cup is not as long as the
perianth, but longer than half the length of the perianth) that is all white
except for a pink rim on the cup. Once you know this system you can see the
codes and get a pretty good mental picture of what the daffodil looks like.
