My hosta is starting to turn brown and die off. It has been pouring for two
days here. Drowning what is left of my color. And Cimicifuga (white pearl
simplex)has not even come into bloom yet and is really beaten down. I had the
cimicifuga that blooms in the summer. It turned brown with the summer heat
and had a very short bloom time. The fall one is usually in bloom October and
November. My toad lily had looked so wonderful along with my fall blooming
daisies and asters. My impatience has not died off. I still had some roses.
I love the rain but the ground has plenty of moisture already. I know there
are those who would really appreciate this down pour. I must stop complaining
because really I am grateful for the rain.
I really need to put in good word about my everbleeding heart that blooms from
spring through fall. Not the showiest of my plants but I really love the
foliage. What do you want from a perennial. Chris Braintree z5
