Hi...one plant for the front of the border with fall leaf change is
ceratostigma plumbaginoides or dwarf plumbago. It grows very low to the
ground and has intense blue flowers in late summer until frost and the
leaves turn red. Another interesting plant for fall thru winter interest
is Sedum 'Autumn Joy'. The flowers start out green then go through a
series of deepening color from light pink to russet.
