I love to use Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (bearberry) as a filler in my
perennial beds.  In the fall the leaves turn reddish-bronze, and in the
summer they're a glossy dark green.

   Geranium maculatum                             Nice red
   Ceratostigma plumbaginoides                    Bronze-red
   Euphorbia epithymoides                         Reddish-pink
   Oenethera tetragona                            Red

I know there's a lot more, but I just can't think of any!
