RE: Re: Drabby fall gardens

Hi Lennie Jo
I have a lot of rhodos. They generally don't require pruning unless they've
gotten too big and are getting in the way of something else. Rhodos are
pretty slow growing. They don't recover form pruning quickly. Unless it's
a nuisance, I'd leave it be. Dead-heading after the blossoms fade is a good
idea though. Right away is best but you can do that any time. I have so
many that on a good day in mid winter, I can go out and dead head rhodos and
feel like I've done something useful!

My first dogwood is 4 feet high! Can't help with pruning tips on that one!

Regards,
Donna

Hello
I have one Roderdenron. I love it. I also have a beautiful Dogwood tree.
When is the best time to prune them? Before the first rain or first snow??

Lennie Jo
