If folks just want a flower that smells like chocolate, try the chocolate
flower (Berlandiera lyrata) available in plant form from High Country
Gardens, or I think by seed from Plants of the Southwest. It's a hardy
perennial, rather sprawling, drought tolerant so blossoms close around noon
in hot weather.The aroma is heavenly. Margaret
