Re: buying young perennials in vast quantities
Some wholesalers are not particular to selling to the general public as
long as you observe a certain minimum and have some credentials such as
a vendors license.. Even though I work part time at my brother's
business, a major nursery I won't name in Illinois would not accept a
personal check for daylilies back in early 1990's , even though our
business was on their mailing list. It was for an order over $400. They
would only accept a business check even though my name is the same as
the business name. I called them to explain, but they still refused my
order. I guess they had enough business that ny order wasn't important.
In our business if someone comes in for a large quantity we don't mind
selling at a wholesale price as long as they have a vendors license and
tax ID. I feel you cannot turn away any business nowdays.
