Thanks Ruth,
I've sprinkled some on the gravel of the pot where the parent plant is
and put some in a mini propagator on a windowsill, so cross fingers. I
did get a little disheartened by another reply that it will take up to
four years to get those wonderful flowers, may have to pick up some
more plants at the next plant show I'm at. They cost from 90p to
£1.20 here, which seems nothing compared to the time and effort to get
them to flowering age. I am gaining a lot of respect for the
nurserymen (&women) from this list.
I suppose the timescale thing means I will have to wait a number of
years to get flowers from my cyclamen seedlings which have made it to
their second year in a small pot.
And then there's the Agapanthus seed ( yes seed, its not a typo) to
wait for too. I have become spoiled by the speed cuttings take to
mature.
Karen
ps - Our winters are nothing like as cold as yours, I was never there
in summer, so can't comment.

Karen- I have one of those and just let it go to seed on its own last year
and I have seedlings all around it. Had to think why I had all these grassy
looking things in front bed and then looked at the lily! I did nothing but
let them do their thing entirely on their own outdoors. I am in the Seattle
area so we may have similar conditions. I don't know.
Good luck!
Ruth
