Just another hair raising thought!
The shrunken heads at the Heard Indian museum in Arizona have full heads of hair many
years after the fact. When I was a kid one of the docents claimed that the hair
actually grew longer as the scalp shrunk???

I think in the garden compost though it would deteriorate.
