Valerie, in my zone, buddleias are year-round, so my input is merely
speculation -- I'd say go for it and see what happens. I'd buy two --
plant one, and keep the other in a pot until spring. My yellows (they are
Buddleia 'golden glow') flower forever, are larger leaved and more
sprawling than black night or some of the other purple flowered ones (I
think they are all davidii species, but I'm not sure).
