After I posted the mesage about using shredded material from the Tree of
heaven in preparing new beds (and wondering about possible herbicide
properties of the tree) I realized that I mostly use these remains as
dressing on paths. I can definitely verify that if there are herbicidal
properties the herbicide has absolutely no effect on chickweed.
