I think it might be the sweet potato weevil (Cylas formicarius)
that's getting the states that produce edible sweet potatoes all in a
tizzy. I've read something similar somewhere that I cannot recall. I
am also not clear whether this proposed ban is only in sweet potato
production states or all over.
