Len,
what was the parent plant also an orange double? If so, it sounds like Kwanso or Flora Plena, a truly vigorous plant - it can out compete blackberry brambles!
Cheryl
Several years ago, one of my common daylilies produced an offset. I planted it to see what would happen. The following summer the plant was huge. Two summers later the plant grew to be 3-4 feet tall with a 5-6 foot flower stalk and the orange flowers were a double/double. I call it Len's Quad because of the 4 layers of petals. The plant is also very vigorous and spreads rapidly by runners. ===== Len Phillips Editor of Hosta Magazine Visit http://hostamagazine.com Yahoo!
