RE: OT, Wild Ones information was Warning: Wildflower seeds in a can

Claire and all,
This is a national group with chapters where ever people are interested
in native plants. It currently is more of a Midwest area, but they are
trying to gain chapters throughout the US. Just takes time for people to
find them... The web site of the national organization is taking on a
new look, more information, and hopefully will attract more members. It
is in the working stage of this and should be completed within 6 months.
Currently it is done by a committee of volunteers ( yeah, I am one of
the six of us doing this) so it takes time.... Plans for more
information, each chapter will have a web page of their own, currently
working on the back page stuff, so easier navigation thru the site and
chapters will have to update one area and it will flow into other areas
as well, like calendars of events and stuff... a real work in
progress.... having said that.... check us out....

To form a chapter you only need ten people in your area to get
started!... A portion of the dues paid to the national group is returned
to the chapter, you get a great guidelines book to use, and all the
support you can ask for, and dues, contributions are also tax
deductible! The national level also sponsors a few list groups, which
you have to be a member of WO to receive. Once you are a member with an
e-mail address, the national office will ask if you would like to be
added.... not a gossipy list, just the facts type stuff, very
informative.

And now I am sure Chris will be really furious with me :(
