Dry shade tolerance may be somewhat climate related....I managed to
kill a nice old clump by letting it get too dry in my hot and humid
shade. You may get away with it in NH, being as it's considerably
north of here and doesn't have the same hot, humid nights that are so
tough on so many plants where I am.
