Re: sedum


Thought I'd put in my two cents on Sedum.

From my experience it is the easiest to propagate perennial I've ever grown.
  When we lived in Louisville I cut mine,  (Autum Joy) back severely in the
spring, thought that was what you were supposed to do, (I don't think it
really matters).   I got lazy about picking up the clippings I had cut off.
  A month later absolutely every piece of every leaf and stem had roots and
they were just laying on top of mulch!   Wow!   Now we live north of Houston
 everything is different and you see very few sedums in the nurseries, (at
least I do).  I've got one to try out and it is going great.   Was labeled
Sedum no variety at all.   Guess I'll have to go to some specialty nurseries
that know more what they are selling.   It doesn't seem like fall until I
have a bunch of Sedum in bloom
