Re: Hypericum patulum 'Hidcote'

Chris..this is a gorgeous Hypericum...here's one more I found:

'Sunburst'
(H. frondosum) Charming blue-green foliage is overlaid in summer with an
abundance of large, bright yellow flowers. AWARDS: PSC
Zone 5, 3 feet, gr 1, Full Sun
I do think these shrubs (sub shrubs?) are a perfect mixed in with
perennials. They just have so much going for them. Sure would be pretty with
blues or bluey-purples.

I've also been a huge fan of Hypericum Blue Velvet[TM] from our old
friend, Paul Cappiello (he was the Director of Horticulture at
Bernheim and has moved up to Director of Yew Dell Gardens in Kentucky).

It's has bluish foliage, tops off at 24", and is covered with yellow
flowers all summer long. Mine have done very well under a west window
with average soil and moderate irrigation.
