Kitty,
Ginger is same story as with the painted ferns...should recover just fine
next spring. Pretty darn tough plants.
Cooler weather here, but no rain to speak of... just missed us...
stayed south of the Ohio river. Transplanted a Japanese maple this morning.
Watered in well. Customers to walk the gardens with me and talk plants.

I have the same issue that I described with the painted ferns also with a
long-standing patch of European Ginger. Looked great for 15+ yrs; suddenly
looks awful. Digging that out too. Nothing but tree roots. Hopefully the
ginger I rescue & pot will come back to life next yr.
