Could anyone help me identify this bulb? I've
been digging up a sunny bed that hasn't been renovated in 20 yrs. I know
all my regular perennials in there but I've added bulbs of all kinds every
year. I'm having trouble distinguishing which allium is which, but at
least I can tell they are alliums. I've come across a lot of what I'm
calling for the time being, string bulbs. They grow in a string, sometimes
circling, often 5 or 6 in a string. I forgot to include a ruler in
the photos below but the pictured ones measure 3 inches from the end of one
bulb to the end of the other one including the connecting "string",
(stolon?) I see they're putting out new
underground growth. Somehow, in the back of my mind I do recall
looking these up when I got them. I just can't recall waht they are.
Any ideas?
