Thanks for the info.  My 'Vivid' just opened the bottommost florets over
the weekend.  

There seems to be more than one 'Vivid' out there, though.  I assume that
propagation errors have occurred during time.  I've had at least two
different versions, and have seen two more different types in nurseries.
