First, is this a proper place to post this question? If there is a better,
please let me know. I have read the articles in suite101 about composting,
noting that green fruits & vegetables are good for compost; and meat and fat
are not, but what about all the other food scraps? In particular starches
(bread & rice)? Can I just scrape leftovers from the plate into it (canned or
processed foods, gravy)? What about newspaper I put in the recycle bin? Are
there any other non-food items that are good for composting? Thanks for the
help.
