I use a lot of annuals in my perennial bed - cosmos, zinnias, lisianthus,
snapdragons, asters, cape marigolds and salvia. There is a zinnia called
envy which is an acid green that sets up beautifully with the pinks and
purples in my perennials. There are 4 different kinds of salvia that I used
this year. They fill it in nicely. The biggest problem is that when I
planted them this year my perennials were very small and I didn't realize
how big they were going to get, they looked like they were on steroids, and
it got a little crowded.
