Re: Dahlia "Bishop of Lalandaff'



The Bishop of Llandaff--- wonderful plant. i don't know why its sometimes 
called the Japanese bishop as this one was raised in Wales not too far from 
Llandaff.

Bridgemere Garden World near Nantwich Cheshire. At this time of year dirt 
cheap. Or you could get a cutting of mine in the spring! 

I tried raising the seed of this spring and it came up like mustard and 
cress. Most of it was dark heavily dissected foliage but the flowers were 
very variable. Good to try for interests sake though. i might get my own 
selected cultivar  yet.
