perennials.
I think the focus of this list is herbaceous perennials, that is those plants
that die back to the ground each winter.  Roses are very susceptible to fungal
attacks and might need a regular treatment of fungicides. Hot humid weather
exasperates the problem.  Clean up ALL fallen leaves and burn or send to the
dump, do not compost them.
