While you can plant anytime until the ground has frozen (and I've been seen
try to chop through 2 inches of ice to plant tulips after an early snow
storm), I think we're close enough to cooler weather that you have very
little to worry about.  Your bulbs would have more to worry about if there
were excessive moisture.
