Just read Bill Lee's heartening info on the B. That's all I needed to hear!
What do think Marge? Oh, there are several other beautiful variegated forms
of Brunnera that I know of: B. macrophylla 'Hadspen Cream' and B. macrophylla
'Langtrees' The Hadspen is said to have a narrower margin than Variegata and
one source reads, "Grows easily in shade and humus rich soil."
The Langtrees is "emargined with large silvery spots"
but another source describes it as having "a double row of pure silver
markings around the outside of the leaf."
I didn't know about this one before
-- there is a pure white flowering form called B. macrophylla 'Betty
Bowring.' More food for
thought. Like we needed more food for thought - Paul has
started something now, hasn't he?
